(One wonders (truncated) if it was necessary to wait to publish this book until after the death (two years earlier) of actress Frances Bavier, "Aunt Bee" on "The Andy Griffith Show" for its entire eight-year run, given that she was by most accounts not happy about what came to be her total identification with the role, after a long career on Broadway and in film and TV.
