Octavo (20 cm); xiii, 361pp. Boards in black cloth with gilt stamping and decoration to spine, wrapped in publisher's intact yellow jacket ($3.50). Fore-edge deckled. Jacket lightly soiled with chips and rubbing to margins. Spine and verso heavily toned. Price has pencil slash through it but still visible. Board corners and spine ends gently bumped with minor scratching and toning to top edge. Endsheets lightly offset with erased pencil to top corner of first free endsheet. All edges toned but otherwise pages clean. A Very Good or better copy in a Very Good jacket.

Aiken earned a Pulitzer Prize for this collection of poems in 1930. He was also the first winner of the Poetry Society of America's Shelley Memorial Award in 1929.
