Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Extremities lightly rubbed and subtly sunned. Underlying boards peeking through at the corners. Presentation bookplates awarding diligent study with the seal of Harvard University in New England on the front pastedowns. The awardee is Roberto Lee Walker- most likely American physicist Robert Lee Walker (1919-2005), who matriculated at Harvard in 1937, and transferred a year later to the University of Chicago.
