Two pages of hand written content by John Albion Andrew to William Schouler (1814 – 1872). Schouler was a journalist, politician and Adjutant General of Massachusetts during the American Civil War. Congratulatory letter reads - "Brig. Genl' Wm. Schouler Adjutant General General: I have the pleasure to acknowledge the receipt of the copies of your Report and to congratulate you on the completion of so great a task.
