They appear to live in San Francisco, but travel to Napa, Los Angeles, San Jose, Las Vegas, and other places with friends. The photographs, ephemera, and greeting cards record the couple's affection, their celebrations - birthdays, holidays, even a wedding - group vacations, and casual gatherings among a small circle of friends

An extraordinary archive with more than 240 snapshpts documenting the life and story of a Black queer couple in the 1970s. The photographs record the couple's affection, celebrating birthdays, traveling to LA and Las Vegas, and holidays together, as well as day to day casual socializing at home with friends and family. The ephemera lays out the background to the photos, with tender Valentines and birthday cards, the invitation for the 1980 same-sex wedding pictured, as well as souvenirs from travel and Tina Turner and Lola Falana concerts.
