Palmer, Massachusetts: Tampax Incorporated, 1945. Very good to near-fine.. Two (2) printed leaflets promoting Tampax tampons to WWII-era American women: "Seldom has a new product achieved in a short time a success equal to that of Tampax. Club women, housewives, war workers-- by the thousands-- have welcomed Tampax as a friend and emancipator". Tampons were sold by the early 1930s, but did not gain popularity until the 1940s and beyond. "Emancipation" from belts, pins, pads, and odor was a common theme in advertising. provides an interesting look into gender roles and the day-to-day lives of women during the war. Each measures approx. 4.5" by 8.5" unfolded, 4.5" by 3" folded.
