Albany: Joel Munsell, 1877. Later printing. Hardcover. Good +. 12mo. [3], iv, pages 5-330 pages, [4]. Green cloth hardcover ruled in blind with blind stamped border decorations on the covers. Gilt title on the spine. Cloth is lightly shelf and edge worn with a a few wrinkles and a very small stain on the back cover. Binding is sturdy and contents are clean.
The clipped signature of Christopher Marshal is tipped on the left and right margins of the title page. "Bound by C. Munsell Albany, NY" book binder label located in the bottom left corner of the rear paste down. According to Howes this copy should have advertisements but the front and rear end papers are blanks.

Christopher Marshall (November 6, 1709 – May 4, 1797) was a leader in the American Revolution. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he went to America in 1727, settled in Philadelphia and worked as a chemist and pharmacist. Marshall is best known for The Remembrancer, a diary he kept during the Revolution, which was not published until 1839 (edited by William J. Duane) as Extracts from the Diary of Christopher Marshall, 1774-1781. He died in Philadelphia.
