With no date on title page or copyright date anywhere, this would presumably be an American first or early printing in a variant binding of brown suede with pictorial pressed in dark brown and title in gilt, gte, xiii,276, illustrated including 3 pages with color (title page with green border and illustrations on page 1 and 276 in red. Floral-patterned endpapers in gold and brown, hinges show evidence of repair. Suede covers remarkably well-preserved save shallow loss at spine head. No names, inscriptions or bookplates. Internals quite nice.
