A fine copy of this elegant limited edition of The Prophet by Khalil Gibran (1883–1931), presented in the French translation by Salah Stétié.
This edition is illustrated with a striking original frontispiece etching and aquatint by Zao Wou-Ki, printed by Lacourière et Frélaut, Paris. The etching, measuring approximately 7 ¼ × 5 ½ in, is signed and hand-numbered 120/125 by the artist. The entire edition was printed on Arches vellum paper, comprising 125 copies in total, all signed by both Zao Wou-Ki and Salah Stétié. This copy is one of the 99 in the standard numbered issue.
