The pioneering computer engineer's review of Plankalkul, a computer language he developed between 1941 and 1946. It was the world's first high-level programming language, which not only dealt with numerical calculations but also combinatorial operations. Zuse is recognized for building the world's first programmable, fully automatic digital computer, Z1, completed in 1938; scarce.
