Np. No binding. Fine. Two vintage original black-and-white print still photos: Handy with trumpet in hand, ca. 1940, 10 x 8" (25 x 30 cm) with photo agency sticker on verso, fine; Handy with Oscar Hammerstein to his left and two others, 1957, 7 x 9" (18 x 23 cm) with date stamp on verso, printing notations in right margin, signs of light handling, very good. W.C. Handy (1873-1958) was an American composer, musician and extremely influential songwriter, often referred to as "The Father of the Blues". Obviously, he didn't create blues music, but he did incorporate blues elements into many of his songs, like "Saint Louis Blues" which went on to become a classic.
