MS notation on verso crediting photographer Rachel Cowan, just about fine. I date this ca. 1977 since his son was born in 1976. This was at the time of John Lewis' first bid for public office, where he ran for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives but was defeated by Atlanta City Councilman Wyche Fowler. Lewis subsequently accepted a position in the Carter administration as associate director of action.
