By [WW2] BAUMBACH, Werner
London: Robert Hale, 1960. First U.K. Edition. Octavo. 22cm. Publisher's black cloth titled in gilt to spine. Dustjacket. 224pp. Light wear and bumping to corners and spine ends, with a heavier bump to the tail of the spine; internally clean with bookplate to front pastedown; in a bright, sharp example of the dustjacket, priceclipped, with some light wear to edges and extremities. A very good, clean, copy.

From the library of Nathaniel Tarn, noted poet, translator, and bibliophile, with his bookplate. Baumbach's account of the actions and ultimate defeat of the Luftwaffe in the skies over Europe had been a key text in post-war German military studies but wasn't afforded an English translation until this one, the copyright date for the translation work, on the verso of the title page is an overstamp, added after the volume was printed.
