The photographer's first book, collecting images taken during a ten-year trek across the United States. The resulting images--a quaint Virginia farmer's market with a house on fire on the hill behind; a desultory and cloudy day at the Wet 'n Wild in Orlando; a collapsed elephant blocking the road in Woodland, Washington--offers "collisions of the magnificent and the mundane" (Roth 101, p. 260-1).
