Bound in first issue dark brown ribbed cloth (Carter's Variant A) stamped in blind and lettered in gilt. Near Fine with slight lean to spine, light wear and fading to cloth, and dust-soiling to top edge. Light soiling to endpapers, bookplate and label to front pastedown and faint offsetting to facing page, and erased bookseller inscriptions to title page. An uncommonly nice copy of Browning's narrative poem. Wise 6, Broughton A54.
