The 1925 limited edition of this lovely fine press rendering of "The Song of Songs" by Robert Gibbings at his formidable Golden Cockerel Press. #416 OF 750 COPIES ISSUED, EACH DESIGNED AND ENGRAVED ON WOOD BY THE GREAT ERIC GILL. Clean and VG+ in its off-white cloth, with light offsetting at the endsheets. Otherwise clean as could be internally, with Eric Gill's engravings bright and lovely. Also includes the front cover and the front flap (only) of the uncommon pictorial dustjacket, which are crisp and very presentable but do show foxing and light chipping along the top-edges.
