S. l. (Boston): A. S. T. Co., 1880. Very good. Large trade card, n. d. (1880s); oblong 4 x 7; chromolithographed illustration to recto, text to verso; mild age-toning to verso, else minor wear - in very good or better condition. With the classic nursery rhyme re-written as an advertisement for the American Shoe Tip Company - the trade card touted the benefits of children's black-tip shoes. The verso of the card advertised a shoe dealer, who carried these shoes - J. T. Fitzgerald of Ware, Massachusetts.
