Lipsiae [Leipzig]: Sumpt. Ioh. Lud. Gleditschii & M.G. Weidmanni, 1712. Very Good. Lipsiae [Leipzig]: Sumpt. Io. Lud. Gleditschii & M.G. Weidmanni, 1712. First Walch Edition. 12mo (14cm); full contemporary parchment, neat manuscript spine titling, all edges stained black; [10],450,[114]pp. (collated, presumed complete); engraved frontispiece of the goddess Minerva, title page printed in red and black. Some staining to parchment, contemporary ownership signature of a Cellarius and small 19th-century rubber-stamp "A. Scriba" to title page; a Very Good to Near Fine example, internally clean and sound.

Attractive student edition of the complete surviving works of the Roman historian Velleius Paterculus edited with extensive notes and a vocabulary by the Leipzig educator and theologian Johann Georg Walch. The frontispiece of a smiling Minerva fully armed is especially appealing.

Extensive holdings in Europe, though OCLC locates no copies in North America as of November, 2025.
