A fine work detailing the families that followed Stephen Meek on his supposed shortcut across the Central Oregon desert and Cascades. They suffered more deaths than the Donner Party and their finding of gold gave rise to the Blue Bucket gold mystery. Includes a 70 page roster of names of the pioneers. .
