The Railway Express Agency (REA Express) was a national package delivery service, which operated from 1929 to 1975 and utilized existing railroad infrastructure to arrange transport and delivery of goods and even zoo animals. It was initially formed during WWI, when the US suffered a severe coal shortage and the major railroads were nationalized. The current pamphlet, an almost-wordless publication, illustrated the steps for shipping an express package with REA - from placing an order by phone through the delivery.
