ROBERT F. KENNEDY (1925-1968). Robert F. Kennedy was the seventh of the nine children of Joseph and Rose Kennedy. After serving as Attorney General in his brothers cabinet, RFK stayed in the public eye as Senator from New York. On June 4, 1968, his meteoric campaign for the Democratic nomination met with tragedy when he was shot by Sirhan Sirhan in Los Angeles. Simon was a Manhattan attorney and politician who was appointed Secretary of State of New York in 1959 by Governor Nelson Rockefeller. It is rare to find a handwritten letter by RFK during his time as Attorney General. This letter is in fine condition with an horizontal mailing fold.
