My Favorite Summer 1956 is Mickey Mantle's autobiographical reflection of the 1956 New York Yankees baseball season. That year Mantle won the triple crown (batting .353, 52 home runs and 130 RBIs) and the American League MVP and led the Yankees to a World Series championship over the Brooklyn Dodgers, which included assisting Don Larsen to pitch a perfect game 5. Greer Johnson was Mickey Mantle's business agent and romantic partner from the mid-1980s until his death in 1995 (Mickey and his wife Merlyn Mantle never divorced, but the two separated in 1980). Greer also managed some of Mickey's former teammates, including Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. . Signed. Limited First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine.
