By Rodd

A graphic novella featuring full-page reproductions of ink-and-wash drawings depicting the homosexual adventures of a college student who takes a summer job as a farmhand.

The illustrations are distinctive for depicting smiling all-American boys cheerfully demolishing the conventions of Middle Western rectitude—a fact humorously underlined by the occasional appearance of farm animals, including a rabbit, popping up to look on in astonishment.

Initially produced around 1970, the work offers an example of the efforts of anonymous publishers to distribute homosexual imagery still of dubious legality in many parts of the United States at the beginning of the decade. The formats of the first edition and the reprint edition match those of graphic novellas published by John Klamik ("Sean"), who likely was involved with publishing these booklets, as well.
