A hand-colored heraldic engraving depicting the armorial bearings of The Right Honourable Charles Cocks, Baron Sommers and Baronet. The lower panel displays calligraphy naming Charles Cocks, made Baron Sommers in 1784, continuing John Somers's lineage. The late Georgian style engraving was likely created for a peerage publication or as a private family armorial. Presented under glass in a wooden period-style frame with a double mat. Dimensions - Frame: approx.22 x 29.5 in., Sheet (visible): approx. 9.25 x 17 in. In Very Good condition with light age toning. Frame with light edge wear and small losses along the upper and left gilt edge. Shelved at DuPont.
