Escape From Corregidor
- USA: Regnery, 1958
First Edition; A Very Good book in a price clipped Very Good dust jacket. A handsome copy of this account of a WWII navigator who flew in to Clark Field on Bataan just before it's capture by the Japanese, and then evaded capture and eventually achieved escape by masquerading as a mining employee; a fascinating story, and an uncommon title in the first edition and in the original jacket. This copy is in very good condition with minor rubbing to the spine ends and board edges and a previous owner's inscription to the front free paper; housed in a clean and bright very good price clipped jacket that shows mild rubbing and chipping to the spine ends, edges, and corners, and some light creasing with a few short tears to the edges, with a small loss of material to the spine foot; presents better than it's faults. Not remaindered, not ex-library; will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.
