Montague” granting permission to visit Gloucester and Hanover “subject to the discretion of the Military authorities”; Master C. W. Montague is described as 15 years of age, 5 ft. tall, with blue eyes and light hair, it is signed by I. H. Harrington, who was provost marshal of Richmond during the Civil War.~~~.
