Silver Gelatin Photograph of Actresses on Pogo Sticks

  • Hollywood, CA , 1950
By [Pogo Stick] [Hollywood Actresses]
Hollywood, CA, 1950. Very Good +. Hollywood, CA: [ca. 1950s]. Glossy silver gelatin photograph (approx. 10.25" x 8") with typed paragraph to verso. Curled at edges and bumped at corners with minor surface marks, but relatively clean and clear. A Very Good or better example.

The happy ladies are jumping on an early patented version of the pogo stick, notably without handles. Based on the description typed on the verso, the pogo riders are Catherine Hughes and Dorothea Kent, both Universal Studios actresses in Hollywood. Hughes was known for starring in early Westerns, including two Gene Autry films. Kent was less well-known but held roles in Pin Up Girl, Some Blondes are Dangerous, and Million Dollar Legs.
