New York, New York: J. Ottmann Lith. Co, 1910. Very good. Light toning, rubbing to extremities of envelope. Large (3 inch) short tear to envelope. Incomplete; lacks one hat for Buster.. A scarce and well-preserved paper doll issued by J. Ottmann Lith. Co. to promote the beloved "Buster Brown" character created by R.F. Outcault in the early 1900s. This set is nearly complete, lacking one hat only. It contains: two paper dolls (Buster, 12", and Tige, 5"); four (4) outfits for Buster; three (3) hats for Buster; and one (1) hat for Tige. The outfits are tabbed, pre-cut, and the dolls have stands in the back to make them self-standing. Envelope measures approx. 12.5" by 6.5" and is illustrated with line drawings of the characters. Richard Felton Outcault (1863-1928) was an American cartoonist who created the beloved comic strip series "Buster Brown" and "The Yellow Kid
