Sticker: "The Person Next to You May Be a Homosexual — Does It Matter?"

  • New York City: Gay Activists Alliance, circa 1970
By Gay Activists Alliance

Sticker produced by the Gay Activist Alliance, the reformist gay-rights organization in New York City founded six months after the more politically and tactically radical Gay Liberation Front was established immediately following the Stonewall Riots of June 1969.

The GAA adopted as its logo the lower-case Greek letter lambda (λ), which GAA leaders believed to be a symbol from physics to indicate the exchange of energy. The sticker offered here features the logo alongside the mailing address for GAA.

CONDITION: Somewhat yellowed & slightly soiled.
