New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. (c.1976). 4th impression. Hardcover. (price-clipped) [faint foxing to top edge of text block, no other significant wear; the jacket is a bit wrinkled at the top of the spine, and bears a large "Autographed at Hunter's" label affixed to the lower right corner of the front panel (probably removable if you wish) (the label is day-glo green, although it appears almost white in the scanned image)]. SIGNED by the author (no inscription) on the half-title page. Memoir by the Academy Award-winning actress ("Eve" in ALL ABOUT EVE, although that wasn't what she won for), centered around her four years living in the Australian outback -- "the greatest challenge of her life," a move undertaken at the height of her career, to be with the man she loved. No doubt her publisher said, "nobody wants to read about THAT, Miss Baxter," ergo the narrative is interspersed with numerous flashbacks to her professional career. Signed by Author .
