Chicago, Illinois: Office of Civilian Defense of the Chicago Metropolitan Area, 1942. Very good. Light toning, some minor surface wear/a couple nicks.. A printed window sign distributed to families in the Chicago metropolitan area, declaring that "This Is a V Home!". The image on the front depicts a red "V" for victory superimposed on top of an illustration of a home. On the back are five guidelines for becoming a "V Home": following air raid warden instructions; conserving food, clothing, transportation, and health supplies to support the troops abroad; salvaging essential materials; refusing to spread rumors; and buying War Savings Stamps and Bonds. Measures approx. 9.5" by 7", printed in red and blue.
