N.p.; n.d. Mexico City Tipica Revue, [1946]. Quarto (28cm). Staple-bound pictorial paper wrappers; [16pp]; illus. Very mild signs of use; Near Fine. Dated from context.

Souvenir program for this traveling troupe of Mexican performers, headlined by the famous Padilla Sisters from Michoacán, Margarita and María, whose ranchera style introduced Mexican popular music to a huge American audience during the Thirties and Forties. The program features dozens of black & white photographic illustrations, not only of the Padillas, but of other members of the troupe, which included film star Jorge Negrete, pianist Juan Tarraza, dancer La Portenita and many others. Final page of text includes the tour itinerary, which included about twenty stops in the border states of Texas, California, and Arizona. Undated, but we have managed to match performance dates (all in 1946) with the venues listed.
