Very Good, modest rubbing to tips and spine ends. Contemporary prior owner bookplate to front paste down and prior owner name and date in pencil Dec . 20,(18)99 to first free end. A few scattered top page edges with small chips and closed tears. Ednah Dow Cheney, suffragist, writer, reformer and philanthropist, was a trusted confidant of Alcott's. This book was published posthumously after several revisions late in Alcott's life. .
