This 1938 printing comes from the personal library of Anders Ericsson (1947-2020), "The Expert on Experts," the late cognitive psychologist known for his influential work on deliberate practice and expert performance.

Title page states Methuen & Co., but bound-in slip preceding states Chaterson Ltd. 7 5/8" X 5 1/8". xxxiii, 317pp. Bound in blue cloth over boards, with upper board ruled and lettered in gilt, with spine lettered in kind. Moderate wear to binding, with hard bumping to corners, rubbing to head and tail of spine, and light soiling and occasional bubble to cloth at upper board. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper and pencilled price notes to rear pastedown. Hinges tender; binding remains quite firm and sound. Scattered foxing to pages throughout, else unmarked.
