A Novelette and Other Prose (1921-1931)

By WILLIAMS, William Carlos
Toulon: To Publishers, 1932. First Edition. First Printing, one of ca.500 copies. Octavo (22.5cm); original jade green printed wrappers; [7],8-125,[2]pp. Gentle sunning to spine and wrapper edges, a few tiny nicks and tears to extremities, with a thin 2" chip to left edge of rear wrapper, and some of the usual subtle tanning to text edges; majority of the pages are unopened; Very Good+, housed in a custom clamshell case.

A well-preserved copy of this brittle and poorly-made title, a novelette Williams wrote about his wife while traveling and tending to the sick in his capacity as a physician, together with a series of essays on various topics. The project was quite close to his heart, and no one in the U.S. would publish it. WALLACE A12. 88312.
