The first approaches the subject of first aid and what to do in immediate injury, with clear directives for what to do and not to do in the event of: shock; infection; wounds; bleeding; burns; broken bones; compound fractures; poisoning; and when artificial respiration is needed. The second booklet ("Guarding Your Family's Health") offers a broader view of family medicine, with information on public health, community health services such as heath inspectors, health insurance, and some basic "do's" for everyone (fresh air, water, healthy eating, recreation, rest, and good mental health). A valuable window into public health and society's view of family health c.1941.
