Xmas 1984" is a facsimile edition of an unusual sketchbook created for and personally gifted by the celebrated American choreographer Merce Cunningham to his lifetime partner, John Cage. The original, held in the archive of the John Cage Trust, comprises an extensive elaboration of Cunningham's choreographic notation and provides a rare glimpse into his working methods.
