Large 4to. xvi, (1), 325, )1_ pp. Nicely bound in full crimson morocco, spine in six compartments with raised bands, intricately gilt, black lettering labels, gilt; gilt rules on the boards, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Color frontispiece and 39 color plates tipped in as issued, with captioned tissue guards; black and white illustrations in text. A fine copy, with the original vellum spine and cover bound in at the rear. The binding is unsigned, but appears to be from the Chelsea Bindery, London.

This is a revised and enlarged edition of the work originally published in 1900, with some new illustrations, as well as others redrawn and colored.
