He was the winner of " numerous awards, including multiple Hugos, Nebulas, and Edgars" (n.b., per Wiki).

This work, "Mind Fields", was made in collaboration with Jacek Yerka (b. 1952), who has "has won international awards for his art, and has had exhibitions in Warsaw, Dusseldorf, Los Angeles, Paris and London" (n.b., from the we site of the artist).

For this work, Yerka first created the paintings, which Ellison used as a basis for the accompanying short stories - one story, "Under the Landscape" - was the exception, being based on two of the paintings.

This the first and limited edition of 475 copies, signed by both Ellison and Yerka, issued without a dust jacket, in a cloth-covered slipcase.
