Jacket is red with white lettering, sunned to tan along the spine, wrapped in a new archival sleeve. Volume is in full black cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine. Jacket is age toned and moderately soiled, with chipping and closed tears along all edges. Rear flap is nearly detached. Price uncut: "$5.00". Boards show moderate shelf wear, with rubbing along all edges and light, faint scuffing to covers. Chipping and shallow loss of material to head of spine; much lighter chipping at tail. Text block shows moderate age toning and light wear along edges, with some dust soiling to top edge. Interior clean; lightly age toned throughout. Inscribed by Wolfe on front flyleaf in green ink: "To Hal Courlander / Cordially / Ber D. Wolfe", dated 10/31/52. Shelved in Room F.
