Washington, D.C., 1847. One partially-printed page, 16" x 10", dated March 1, 1847, granting land in Boone County, Illinois to Araunah Moseley of Monroe County, New York and his heirs. Granted by the office of President James K. Polk, with the secretarial signature of his nephew Joseph Knox Walker. Additionally signed by S. H. Laughlin, Recorder of the General Land Office.
With one vertical fold and two horizontal folds. Light age toning and wear. A few small holes. With a blind embossed paper seal in the lower left corner. Handwriting slightly faded but still legible.
