Bookplate on inner cover of each volume. Spine of each volume uniformly faded. A handsome set, fine and clean throughout. The volumes are collated complete, including the engraved illustrated title leaf in each volume. Mixed edition (second through fourth), published between 1842-1848. Includes the three series of this beautifully produced edition, in uniform leather bindings. Ingoldsby's Legends is a famous collection of legends, ghost stories and humorous tales that was very popular in the nineteenth century.
