SIR HARRY LAUDER (1870-1950). Harry Lauder was a Scottish actor, comedian, and singer, achieving international success. He typically performed in full Scottish regalia and eventually became the highest-paid performer in the world in 1911. After the outbreak of World War I, he promoted recruitment, led fundraising efforts, and starred in many concerts for troops. His most famous songs were, "Roamin' in the Gloamin'", "A Wee Deoch-an-Doris", "The End of the Road" and "I Love a Lassie".GROCK (1880-1959). Grock, born Charles Adrien Wettach, was a Swiss clown. He was once the highest paid entertainer in Europe. He began performing in circuses in 1894 after traveling with a caravan of Roma and came to be called the king of clowns. In 1951 he established his own circus until his retirement in 1954.DS. 1pg. N.d. N.p. An album page signed Grock and Harry Lauder on opposite sides of a paper.
