Glenway Wescott (1901-1987) was an American novelist, short-story writer, and essayist, associated with the expatriate literary scene of the 1920s. A Wisconsin native, he gained early recognition with The Apple of the Eye (1924) and The Grandmothers (1927), and later produced notable works such as The Pilgrim Hawk (1940) and Apartment in Athens (1945), as well as the story collection Good-bye, Wisconsin (1928).
