Full tan morocco, the boards with a simple gilt border and a very distinctive straight-grain effect, gilt decoration along the spine creating four compartments the second from the top has "Herman's Zollikofer" in gilt, gilt along the edges of the boards, page edges lightly marbled, and marbled endpapers. Boards and spine worn, light dampstainlng along the edges of the preliminaries and terminals, and scattered foxing throughout, still a very good and sound copy with the gilt on the spine remaining bright.
