This particular book by the acclaimed Afro-Cuban poet seems to have been published in a few different editions, with different publishers and cover designs, in the span of a few years. This edition "specially dedicated to English-speaking African readers," according to jacket flap copy. This copy with title page inscription, signature, and drawing from the author to noted feminist, activist, and publisher Florence Howe, dated 1978 in Havana.
