[JUVENILE] [RHYMING VERSE]. 16mo (6 ¼" x 4 1/8"); [8]pp; pictorial wrapper printed in mustard, red and black, illustration of a boy falling into water and 4 lines of verse on front, rear wrapper has a b&w illustration of a wet boy and 8 lines of verse; foxing throughout; very good. The sad tale of Johnny, a boy who did not pay attention and fell in the water. Fished out by two passing men, he was teased by the fish as his satchell [sic] and book drifted out to sea.
Dated circa 1875 based on the advertisement from McLoughlin published in 1875-76. (AAS 217118).
