Equalitarian Bulletin
- [California , 1949
[California, 1949. Very good.. Fifty issues. Quarto. Mimeographed, stapled as issued, on varying paper stocks. Light wear and soiling, chipping to some issues. An extensive run of this utopian labor newsletter. The issues start with number 11 and run almost unbroken through issue 64, covering 1946 to 1949; two later issues, 91 and 105, round out the run. The newsletter advocates the formation of a world association of Equalitarians, drawing on theories of technocracy, the International Workers of the World, and Christian economics. Articles discuss reform efforts and utopian movements in various countries, analyze previous efforts such as the Socialist Labor Party, and more. There is also some comparison of the revolution to the arrival of the Messiah, and consideration of such questions as, "Is equality conducive to efficiency?" The publication ran from December 1945 through issue 143 in 1961, and was issued bimonthly, rendering this a substantial portion of its initial years.
