A WWII-era illustrated booklet promoting Greensboro, North Carolina to troops newly placed at the Overseas Replacement Depot (ORD). The ORD was a critical military base where troops lived and trained before being shipped across the world for combat. It also served as a discharge center at the end of the war, and processed thousands of troops returning home. The booklet highlights what the city has to offer troops, including schools, churches, recreation, fraternal organizations, job opportunities, and sight seeing. Includes a list of bus services, a map, and a list of phone numbers for more information.
