Contemporary mottled calf, gilt bands along the spine making seven compartments, the second compartment from the top houses a red label with "Christian's Magazine" in gilt, the fourth from the top has a small circle stamped in black with "2" in gilt. Boards and spine worn including some loss to the crow of the spine, both hinges cosmetically cracked but remain largely sound, price penned on the front pastedown, owner name on the title page, several pages creased at the top fore edge corner, scattered foxing and offsetting throughout, good or better.
